I think its just the fact that shes been in X-factor. Shes more recognised by the public now, people see her personality as well as talent.
She also got a lot of sympathy when her husband cheated on her (not that that’s a bad thing) just that audiences seem to warm to celebrities that have been through things that anyone could go through, whether or not they are a celebrity.

Shes married to Ashley Cole, football player for Chelsea and England so might make a difference, also she used to be really really fit, nowadays shes much to skinny for the average British lad, more the wafer thin L.A. celebrity type.

The media are obsessed with WAG’s-( The acronym for Wives and Girlfriends, of sports stars, who usually do nothing but be married to sports stars and are famous because of it.) and since she is married to Ashley Cole (Football player)she is in the same category as Louise Redknapp and the ultimate, Posh spice, ( Both Married to footballers but are ex-members of girl bands) so, for that reason, she gets more press than the others. It says a lot for the society that we live in that we cannot turn around without being inundated by stories and speculation about a self-obsessed, purile and jumped up karaoke singer who is married to someone who kicks a ball when there is a war, economic meltdown, and a health service in decline. I know we need some light relief and entertainment, but the amount of money these nobodies get for doing nothing but exist, is beyond a joke. I don’t mean to sound bitter, or like Mr Angry, but it really does annoy me, and your question, which is reasonable, actually perpetuates the situation.

Because her publicist has been hard at work making sure that she gets in the papers and gets herself known. Also she married Ashley Cole and then when he cheated on her she made sure that everyone knew her views about it by putting it in the papers

I think its just the fact that shes been in X-factor. Shes more recognised by the public now and she also got a lot of sympathy when her husband cheated on her although she did take him back which gave her even more publicity. I think she does more outside Girls Aloud than anyone else so she’s more famous than the other girls.

Because there’s a culture in the UK of encouraging girls to not get an education and find a rich man to live off, but there aren’t that many rich men who are thick enough to want a thick chav apart from footballers. The celeb magazines need boring interviews from these idiots as gullible teenage girls are so brainwashed by the media into thinking what’s cool, they will buy anything with these wags in. I suppose in a free society we have no choice but to put up with this nonsense, just so the celeb media industry keep making money from idiots. Still, at least Cheryl Cole is nice to look at and it makes a change to see her than that awful ugly, pig nosed and bodged up fake boobed Victoria beckham.

Oh, any Britney Spears fans out there? She is performing on X Factor on November 15th. Watch it. It will be great.
Anyway, back to Cheryl, she is also married to footballer called Ashley Cole who cheated on her, so that was everywhere in the British Newspapers.

Then she started seeing Ashley Cole, so interest increased.

Ovi one thing is cause of the X factor like you said but its also cause she is married to Ashley Cole.
And cause of the whole incident where Ashley cheated on her.
Its made her more known.
And also she down a song with Will I Am.

She’s married to a football player – Ashley Cole. Although I don’t like her after the scandal with club staff. She punched poor women plus called many of ****** slurs to her. I don’t know even how her husband (who’s black) can still love her. Obviously, she’s ******. Even though, she’s cute.
