My husband adores them, and some of their music, I say he’s lost the plot, I’m not a fan at all.

They’re not famous for their music.

    …more of a visual thing.

  5. Missy K Says:

They have very sassy lyrics and funky disco pop beats, I love them, I fight my daughters for their cds.

    One of my guilty pleasures!!
They’re a bit likeThe Spice Girls – but better looking and with a tad more dignity!
    I know I shouldn’t….but i do like them. But I wouldn’t buy their albums.

I don’t really like them,or go out of my way to listen to their music, but if I do ever come across their music then in my head I will silently sing along because I find their songs annoying catchy lol.

I really like. Im ging to see them in concert in May!
Their lyrics are fun and fresh i think. They have done a few covers of other songs, but they make it work!

They are like the Spice Girls, although i prefer the Spice Girls, I saw them in January too, So after Girls Aloud i can tell yous who performs better. I think the Spice Girls would put on a better show, their show was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

My Favourite Girls Aloud songs are:

    Love Machine
    The Show
    Wake Me Up
    The Sound Of The Underground
    Can’t Speak French
    Racey Lacey

Why dont you download them and see how you like those ones, most of them are from their previous albums.

I love them, and have done since I lived in the UK in 2005. I’m an American and, yeah, not everyone here gets it — they have a very specific, European sound. This is down to the production company that writes and arranges all their music – Xenomania. You either love or **** them, and I LOVE their stuff. They’ve also worked with the Sugababes and Sophie Ellis Bextor, but since their success on the GA tracks No Good Advice and Sound of the Underground, they’ve written/produced every song on every GA album since.

What I think stands the girls apart, aside from the top-notch production (as far as manufactured pop goes, they are geniuses), is that they can actually sing. Yes, they are also all objectified *** pots, but they really do all have decent voices, which means they can sing live (and very well, btw). Britney Spears = not a great singer, crap live (singing). Most boybands = maybe one good singer, often crap live. GA are an anomaly, IMO. I really, really want to **** them, especially since I find most of their lyrics offensive, insulting or just plain sad… but the music is catchy and I can’t help loving them. I listen to them almost every day. Seriously.

I highly recommend listening to their Greatest Hits album. It’s the best selection of their singles. Tangled Up, their new album, has a slightly new sound, but I think it’s their most solid album, from start to finish. Their videos are pretty entertaining, too, and you can find them all on YouTube. The live concert is also one of the only concert DVDs I have not only watched all the way through, but watched more than once.
